- Wallet address – get it from the Safe Trade exchange (BTX section -> deposit) or from the official website file
.btxwallet. - Overclock the cards. For example, on an RTX 4090, memory at 5000 MHz, Power Limit 360 W → 15 kH/s; at 275 W → 13.4 kH/s.
While everyone is discussing the rolled-out complexity of Pearl mining and wondering whether it's time to shut down rigs due to overheating, a project has emerged that mines more profitably, consumes less power, and runs cooler.
Profitability and Brief Analysis of BTX
Profitability
On a test rig with 4 GPUs (4060, 3080, 4090, and 5070 Ti), BTX profitability ranges from $7.00 to $8.36 per day, while Pearl on the same farm brought in $8.74.
- For RTX 3070, earnings are about $0.83–$0.93 per day (at an average coin price of $6 and a hashrate of 3 kH/s per card).
- One RTX 4090 yields roughly 0.68 BTX per day (3.67–4.00 at prices of 5.4–6.0).
With miner optimization and overclocking, the total farm profitability with a hashrate of 18–20 kH/s reaches $6 per day.
At the same time, the algorithm runs noticeably cooler. For example, on RTX 4090 power consumption drops from 600 W to 474 W. In another test, rig consumption fell from 620 W to 583 W.
Cards run 1–10 degrees colder, which is critical in summer, reducing wear on farms.
About the BTX Coin
BTX implements the btx-matmul algorithm, similar to Perl, and does not require tensor cores. Unlike Pearl, BTX can be mined on older AMD cards.
The BTX project itself claims quantum‑resistant security and wallet privacy on par with Monero.
Where to Trade, Exchanges and Wallets
For self‑custody, the official browser wallet is available. Seed phrase generation happens locally, creating a portable .btxwallet file to manage coins.
Be sure to download the wallet file. This is your backup key!
For Linux enthusiasts, there is a BTX node wallet with full CLI installation.
There is also a third‑party wallet – Easy BTX, offering the bonuz mobile app and a PC version – PQ Wallet. In any case, wallets for new coins should be installed on a separate PC or a clean OS for security, to avoid possible trojan infections.
The only exchange with a listing is Safe Trade. Go to the assets section, find BTX, click deposit, and copy the generated address.
This method is simpler but not recommended for long‑term storage. The exchange may raise the minimum deposit amount, and mined coins may stop arriving.
BTX Pools
Mining is shared among 3 pools – BTXPOOL, Ninja Raider, and Lucky Pool.

Among BTX mining pools, BTXPOOL leads with a 50% share and zero fee when using their miner, while LuckyPool with a 1% fee is ideal for Russia due to low ping. All pools use the PPLNS reward system.
Choosing a Miner
Based on tests on an RTX 4090 and comparisons of performance, CPU load, and pool compatibility, the following miners stand out: SRB Miner-Mult, BTX-Miner, Motador, Nekominer, and Racer.
BTX-Miner (0% fee, but only BTXPool)
BTX-Miner has a 0% fee but works only with BTXPool. Considering the pool’s 5% fee, the total commission is 5%.
For AMD cards, miner updates do not bring significant changes. It is updated frequently; recent versions have notably improved hashrate for CMP‑series cards.
SRB Miner (universal)
SRB Miner-Multi is a universal miner with a 1% fee, suitable for most pools, including LuckyPool and Ninja Raider. About 1600 miners use it on Ninja Raider. It is integrated into HiveOS, but updates may lag.
Motador (max hashrate, but heavy on CPU)
Motador-miner shows the highest hashrate on RTX 4090 among the tested miners, but it heavily loads the CPU, though this barely affects power draw from the wall.
Miner fee is 1%. It works primarily with Lucky Pool; on Ninja Raider there may be bugs and disconnections, but the developer updates the software quickly. Unfortunately, only Linux versions are available.
Nekominer and Racer (worst)
Nekominer with a 1% fee on RTX 4090 showed the worst profitability, although other users report normal results.
Racer (version 0.5.3) is used by about 3500 miners on Ninja Raider, but the fee is not listed on GitHub. Both miners are not recommended as primary options but can be used for experiments.
How to Start BTX Mining on Windows?
- Download the SRBMiner archive from the official GitHub.
- Extract the archive to a separate folder (create an exception in Windows Defender if necessary to prevent files from being deleted).
- In the folder, find the file
Start Mining BTX.bat– open it in Notepad. - Enter your BTX wallet address (from Safe Trade or the official wallet) in the appropriate field.
- Save the file.
- In the properties of the
.batfile, check theRun as administratorbox. - Run the file – mining will start.
Example batch file contents:
SRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm btx --pool btx-au.lproute.com:8660 --wallet ADDRESS --worker rig1
Optionally, use the --worker command to specify your rig name.
How to Start BTX Mining on HiveOS?
- Go to flight sheets and create a new
flight sheet. - Coin –
BTX(or BTXI). - Paste your BTX wallet address.
- Select
SRB multi-miner (or a custom miner for Motador / Nekominer). - Set the algorithm to BTX.
- Manually specify the pool (e.g., Lucky Pool Russian stratum or global.btx.org).
- Enter the
workername. - Apply changes and start the flight sheet.
Matador Miner gives the highest hashrate (up to 13 kH/s on a 4090), but it heavily loads the CPU and may crash. SRBminer is more stable.
BTX vs Pearl Power Consumption
Comparison on a system with 4 GPUs (4060, 3080, 4090, 5070 Ti):

Daily income |
~$8.74 |
~$8.36 |
|
Power consumption |
~600 W |
~474 W |
|
GPU temperature |
72°C |
71°C |
On another system, power consumption dropped from 620 W to 583 W. Thus, BTX provides similar profitability with significantly lower power consumption and heat.
At the moment, BTX may be more profitable than Pearl, but Pearl remains a reliable base mining coin with larger trading volume.
Overclocking GPUs for BTX
The algorithm runs cool. Overclocking is similar to Perl, as the algorithms are alike. Lock memory at 5000–5001 MHz. Adjust core individually. For RTX 4090 in a gentle mode, set Power Limit 360 W and memory 5000 MHz. The card will deliver ~15 kH/s.
At a 275 W limit, RTX 4090 produces about 13.4 kH/s. If you raise the limit to 360 W, you can reach 15 kH/s, but power draw increases by 75 W, which may not be worthwhile with high electricity costs or in hot weather.
Do not set low values (e.g., 801 MHz) commonly used for other algorithms. Tests show that on RTX 4090 setting 801 MHz instead of 5000 MHz crashes the hashrate from 13 kH/s down to 3 kH/s.
Although the coin supports AMD mining, their efficiency is often lower. For example, older RX 5600 cards perform worse than GTX 1660 while consuming more power.
Drawbacks and Risks
The price of BTX dropped 46% after listing and fluctuates between $4.44 and $5.32. The cost of production for early miners is about $1 per coin, so if massive dumping occurs, the price could fall below $1. We mined 15 coins ourselves and that’s enough for now.
Safe Trade exchange has a daily trading volume in the range of $127,000–$150,000, which limits selling large amounts.
BTX acts as a second‑tier asset because the project’s future is questionable.
At average price and difficulty, the payback period for older cards (e.g., RTX 50‑series) is estimated at 3–4 months, but if the rate drops, these terms can increase significantly. Buying video cards solely for BTX is risky, as profitability is tied to Pearl, and if it falls, altcoins like BTX will yield only pennies.
Q&A
Can BTX be mined on AMD graphics cards?
Yes, the algorithm works with most cards. Newer miner versions (e.g., BTX Miner) have improvements for AMD. Motador and SRBMiner also support AMD (though you can disable it via parameters).
How much can you actually earn on one RTX 3070?
At a rate of ~$6 and hashrate of ~3 kH/s per card, daily earnings are about $0.7–$0.93.
Is mining BTX profitable?
There is no definitive answer. Use the calculator on the pool page, plugging in your own hashrate figures.
Take into account pool and miner fees, and also that about 4% of blocks over the last 24 hours may be empty.
Conclusions
Mining this token is at a very early stage. Before listing, there were only about 193 miners and 150 X followers. Our goal is to mine 15 BTX, but unlike Pearl, where we are already taking profits and exchanging, here the risks are much higher.
Personally, we do not HODL such coins; we dump everything into the order book and prefer proven assets – Ethereum, Bitcoin, popular altcoins like BNB, or those pegged to gold and indices. Everything else does not interest us. Also, a good alternative to mining is DeFi protocols. They are still complex, so the entry barrier is high.
That’s a brief overview of popular miners and pools for the BTX coin. That's all from us – the Bytwork team, Maxim Anisimov – until next time!
