Description and list of coins
Nanopool was created on August 21, 2015. The pool makes it possible to mine the presented coins both in solo (one coin) and in dual (2 coins at the same time with a proportional distribution of power between them).
List of coins and minimum withdrawal:
Cryptocurrency | Minimum withdrawal |
---|---|
Ethereum POW | 0.05 - 20 ETHW |
Ethereum Classic | 0.1-100 ETC |
Conflux | 1 - 100 CFX |
ZCash | 0.01-10 ZEC |
Monero | 0.11-10 XMR |
Ergo | 1 - 500 ERGO |
Ravencoin | 50-50000 RVN |
Firo (Beta pool) | 0.05 - 500 FIRO |
Flux (Beta pool) | 0.05 - 500 FLUX |
Ubiq (Beta pool) | 0.05 - 500 UBIQ |
Algorithm (Beta pool) | 0.5 - 100 ALPH |
For mining on NanoPool, your rig must have at least 4 GB of RAM and an x64-bit operating system.
Please note that Nano Pool has released its Beta platform called - picopool, on which you can mine Firo cryptocurrency.
Picopool is a beta project where Nano Pool developers are implementing new features.
Step 1. Select Coins
The main page contains a list of coins that can be mined on this pool. For each coin it is indicated:
- Pool Capacity (Pool Hashrate)
- The number of users mining the coin (Miners Count)
- Coin Value (Price)
- Withdrawal range: from the minimum amount to the maximum for one withdrawal (Payouts)
- Coin Algorithm (Algorithm)
In 2022, the pool added new cryptocurrencies for mining:
- Ethereum POW
At the same time, other coins were removed:
- Grin-29
Select the desired coin and click on the "Overview" button. A new page will open with the coin you have selected.
Step 2. Create a digital wallet
Once you have selected a coin, you need to create a digital wallet for it.
Registration on the pool is not required to enter the pool, you need to know the number of the digital wallet to which the coin will be mined. You specify it in .Bat file.
You can create a digital wallet on any exchange that supports this coin. If you do not want to register on the exchange, you can download a cold wallet for the selected coin, or a multicurrency one.
Step 3. Familiarize yourself with the Nanopool interface
After the digital wallet is created, go to the website nanopool.org, select the coin you need for mining (for example, Ethereum POW), click "Overview" and go to the section of the selected coin:
- Countdown to a new era of the DAG file
- Pool Menu
- Statistics of the selected coin: Pool hashrate, Blocks mined (in the last 24 hours), Number of miners, total workers, coin price (in this case ETHW)
- Information for connecting to the pool
In the upper left corner there is a countdown "Next DAG Epoch", to understand what it is and why it is needed, you need to find out what a DAG file is.
Next are the main sections of the pool: Home page, Statistics, Blocks, API, Frequently Asked Questions, Help, Pools.
In the upper right corner there is the address bar "Address" and the "Search" button. There you need to insert the number of your digital wallet created for the selected coin. As soon as you launch a bat file (with a digital wallet) on NanoPool, statistics will appear after 15 minutes, which can be tracked by inserting a digital wallet into the "Address" and clicking on the "Search" button!
Just below the main sections are the tabs: "Pool Hashrate" (pool network capacity) - the bigger it is, the better, "Blocks mined" (blocks that are solved on this pool according to this algorithm), "Miners" (the number of miners – people whose equipment takes part in solving blocks), "Workers" (total workers), "Price" (price for 1 ETHW coin).
In the middle are the top miners, those who extract the most ETH on Nanopool. On the right is the official Twitter of the pool.
Step 4. Download the miner
To start mining coins on the pool, you need to install a miner – a special program for mining cryptocurrencies.
On our website you can download any program for coins mined on Nanopool.
Algorithm | Coin | Program |
---|---|---|
Ethash / ETChash | Ethereum POW, Ethereum Classic | PhoenixMiner |
RandomX | Monero | xmrig, Nanominer, XMR-STAK-RX, |
Octopus | Conflux | Nanominer, Bminer, NBMiner |
KAWPOW | Ravencoin | miniZ, TT-Miner, Nanominer, SRBMiner-MULTI, GMiner |
Autolykos v2 | Ergo |
Please note that each article about the miner has a detailed description:
- All command
- Settings
- Launching the miner
- Downvolting
- Solving errors
- And much more
You can also download the miner, which was invented by the Nanominer developers themselves and read its detailed description!
Step 5. Setting up the Bat file.
If you downloaded the program from our website, it will take you a couple of seconds to configure it, since the file already has Bat files configured for different pools, including Nanopool.
All you will need to do is replace digital wallets with your own!
In the folder, select the configured Bat file for Nanopool, in our case it is "1_EhereumPow-nanopool.bat". Click on it with the right mouse button and click on the "edit" button.
The finished Bat file for mining on Nanopool looks like this:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ethw-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -wal 0x7b9cw9670cC16385a4381221931D3a32q247E111 -worker Phoenix -pass x -log 0 -retrydelay 1 -tt 79 -tstop 89 -tstart 85 -Rmode 1 -fret 1 -rate 1 -coin etc
pause
Let's analyze in detail all the entered values.
- PhoenixMiner.exe – the name of the program (in our case Phoenix Miner)
- -pool ethw-eu1.nanopool.org server address (the pool where you mine cryptocurrency, in our case it is Nanopool)
- :15555 pool port
- -wal digital wallet, replace it with your own.
- worker enter any name here. For example, "Farm 1" or "3080"
- -pass set a password for the pool. Most pools work without passwords. Usually "x" is indicated - this means there is no password
The remaining settings are responsible for the speed of the cooler, overheating of the card and other settings. You can find them in the PhoenixMiner article.
After you have replaced the wallet with your own, click on the cross and save the document. Next, click on the modified Bat file with the left mouse button (run it).
That's it, the miner setup is complete! You are mining Ethereum PoW on Nanopool.
Where can I get the parameters to configure the Bat file?
Consider the example of any other coin, for example Ethereum Classic. Click on "Overview".
The coin page opens. Scroll down and see this field:
First we need to take a server, this is this graph, choose the location that is closest to you, for example "Europe":
Select, for example, the parameter "etc-eu1.nanopool.org "
Next we need a port, it is located here:
We need "19999".
Next comes the standard setup, you need to enter the digital wallet that you received on the exchange or on another wallet, after which there are additional settings of the Bat file (the miner itself).
We get:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool etc-eu2.nanopool.org:19999 -wal 0x7b9cw9670cC16385a4381221931D3a32q247E111 -worker Phoenix -pass x -log 0 -retrydelay 1 - -tt 79 -tstop 89 -tstart 85 -Rmode 1 -fret 1 -rate 1 -coin etc
pause
Step 6. Withdrawal of funds (auto-payment)
To set up automatic withdrawal of funds to the digital wallet you specified, you must:
- Go to the Nanopool website in the section of the selected coin.
- In the upper right corner, insert the number of the digital wallet specified in the bat file into the address bar "Address". Click on the button next to "Search".
- In the new window that opens, click on the "Settings" button. A pop-up window will open.
- Enter in the column "Password (email)" - the password (email) that was invented when changing the bat file.
- In the column "Minimum payout" (minimum payout) we enter the figure of minimum payments *. When your farm mines the minimum value you set, the pool will automatically send this amount to your digital wallet.
If you do not manually change the minimum payout indicator, the automatically set minimum payout equal to 0.2 ETHW will be displayed (if you selected ETHW).
If you have several farms and they all mine on a Nanopool for the same wallet, then when setting up a Bat file, the password (email) and -epsw must be the same for all farms, otherwise you will not be able to enter the statistics section of the pool.
How to enter Email on Nanopool?
In order to change the auto-payment (to the threshold you specified) You must specify the Email address in your Bat file.
The finished Bat file with Email looks like this:
PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ethw-eu1.nanopool.org:15555 -wal 0x7b9cw9670cC16385a4381221931D3a32q247E111.Phoenix/mail@example.com -epsw x -mode 1 -Rmode 1 -log 0 -mport 0 -etha 0 -retrydelay 1 -tt 79 -tstop 89 -coin eth
pause
As you can see, it is almost no different, the only difference is that after –wal, the name of your farm is written through a dot, and after a slash, the Email is indicated.
Please note that nothing will be sent to the Email address entered in the Bat file. It is needed just for confirmation, as a password.
If you have been mining for a long time before and want to change the threshold, it does not matter. Just restart the modified Bat files (with the entered Email address) and wait from 20 minutes to an hour. After that, the pool will understand that all your Workers have the same Email address and will give you the opportunity to set any minimum payout.
If you have many Nanopool farms mining at once, you will have to apply it to them all at the same time (run the modified Bat file with the same Email address).
If it is not possible to make changes, then check whether the same Email is specified everywhere. If there is no error, write in the comments under this article, we will definitely help you.
Conclusion
Nanopool is a very convenient pool with a clear interface. The advantages of the pool include:
- lack of registration (to view statistics, just enter the wallet number)
- setting up the pool takes a few minutes
- at the bottom of the pool page there is an automatic online calculator where you can calculate how much you get in rubles / USD or Btc for: minute, hour, day, week, month.
The disadvantages include the periodic drawdown of the ping, which characterizes the suspension of the pool.
