GMGN.AI Playbook: How to Spot 1% Gems in a 99% Meme Scam Market
GMGN is not a signal generator, but a risk scanner. 99% of meme tokens are scams. Its value lies not in showing you “what to buy,” but in explaining within 30 seconds why you should not enter. The remaining 1% are the real coins.
Overview
GMGN.AI is a multichain terminal for fast meme coin trading – namely, discovery and auditing. It combines the functions of a DEX screener, an AI analytics module, and an automated trading bot.
The terminal brings together 4 important components:
- First, an automated smart‑contract audit to instantly detect hidden scams.
- Second, wallet tracking (insiders, Smart Money) to copy their trades.
- Third, social media parsing (X/Telegram) to assess the real hype around a coin.
- And last, a trading interface with anti‑MEV protection for instant order execution.

Core |
Terminal for meme coins. It enables wallet tracking (leaders, snipers, Smart Money), social media monitoring (X/TG), smart contract audits, and includes auto‑trading. |
|
10 chains |
SOL, BSC, Base, ETH, Robinhood, Stable, Arc, X Layer, HyperEVM, MegaETH |

Who is it for? |
Scalpers, degens, on‑chain analysts, and bot creators |
|
Profit potential |
High (from 5x–10x up to 100x). However, profits are often cut by scams, slippage, and fees (MEV/Gas). |
|
Risks |
Risk of losing 100% of your deposit. The terminal does not protect against market manipulation or fake PNL wallets. |
In short, GMGN.AI is indispensable for meme trading, but you should pass it by if you need an exchange with direct fiat withdrawals. The terminal also does not spoon‑feed basic blockchain risks, and its interface is tuned for speed, not safety.
Features and Capabilities
The terminal brings analytics and trading into one window, replacing 5–10 external sites for checking liquidity and wallets:
- Automated meme coin security audit – checks
No Mint(no extra issuance),Blacklist(no sell restrictions), and liquidity burn status (Burn). Filters also let you select specific launchpads. This is the baseline.
- Wallet analysis – visualises wallet clusters via
Bubble Mapsto find connected groups of insiders and snipers. If a wallet belongs to a group of people, it is a sign of manipulation.
- Copy trading – automatically replicates trades from selected wallets with filters for
Win Rateand holding time. - Trading terminal – sniping, fast auto‑buy, limit orders on dips (Buy Dip), and configurable auto‑sell.
We should note that not everything is smooth. For instance, the terminal does not detect traders who inflate their stats by buying their own scam tokens. Moreover, the displayed PNL does not account for fees or validator bribes, so your balance can drop even when the chart is green.
Fees
GMGN charges 1% on buys and 1% on sells. The full trade cycle also includes indirect costs. Launchpads like Pump.fun charge 1% during liquidity collection, and after migration to Raydium, fees are 0.25%–1%. Fixed SOL costs include a premium for Solana network speed and validator rewards (Jito) to protect against bots.
As a result, a trader loses at least 2.5%–4% of the deposit per full round‑trip, before even considering price slippage.
Quick Start
Step 1. Create an Account
You can create an account via email, Telegram, or by connecting a wallet directly. Login via Telegram is faster, but you get a wallet whose private key is stored inside the bot.
For serious amounts, it is wiser to use Phantom, MetaMask, or Solflare.
Never send your seed phrase or private key to support chat – GMGN Telegram groups are full of fake admins and scammers.
Step 2. Secure Your Account
GMGN terminal security relies on two‑factor authentication (Passkey, Google Authenticator, Email). You can also link wallets for quick login.
The terminal does not gain access to your private keys. If you choose to register via Telegram, be sure to save your private key offline.
Step 3. Fund Your Account
Connecting your personal wallet does not allow you to trade directly from its balance in GMGN. To execute trades, you must transfer funds to the internal address created by the system. You can deposit to GMGN in any supported network.
Select the network, click Deposit, and you will receive your address.
Trading memes is a complex process. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the basics of the terminal's metrics, set up filters, and grasp the logic of the columns.
The Terminal and Its Metrics
The terminal looks overloaded with numbers, but to start, you need to understand 3 columns.
Step 1. Understand the Logic of 3 Columns
Tokens move across the screen from left to right as their popularity and liquidity grow.
New(left column) – the nursery for tokens. These are coins that appear within seconds of being created on Pump.fun or another launchpad. Market cap (MC) is tiny – usually around $4K–$10K. Risk is maximal; 99% of these shitcoins get rugged within minutes.Almost bonded(middle) – warmed‑up coins. These are tokens that the crowd has started to pour money into. They are close to filling the bonding curve and migrating. Market cap here is typically $40K–$60K.Migrated(right) – graduates. These tokens have successfully collected liquidity on Pump.fun and moved to trade on the DEX Raydium. Larger players trade here.
Step 2. How to Read a Token Card
Look at any row inside the columns. It contains all the basic analytics:
In the Migrated column you see:
- Token name, ticker and the abbreviated contract address (CA) on the left below the avatar.
- Token age and the time since liquidity was deployed on the exchange (
20s). - Statistics on the number of whales, snipers, and creators (
1/1). - MC – current market capitalisation (e.g.,
$115.8K). - Security indicators – icons in green and red frames that highlight the share of supply held by top holders, locked pool, and scam risks.
- Quick buy buttons – 2 green
Buybuttons on the right allow you to instantly grab the token with one click directly from this list.
The security indicators are the most important! Below the token name you will see small icons of different colours. Anything the terminal marks in red carries risks. We are interested in Dev Holds (DH or DS) – how many coins the developer still holds:
- A red high percentage of coins held by the developer is a direct path to a scam. The developer could dump their 99% at any second, completely draining the liquidity pool and sending the coin to zero.
- A safe indicator is when DH is 0% (highlighted in green). Experience shows that this means the creator has fully sold or burned their tokens, and the supply is in the hands of ordinary retail players.
SM(Smart Money) – shows whether professional traders with high win rate and PnL have entered the token.KOL– whether well‑known influencers have entered.Insiders– wallets that jumped in at the very start.
All other icon definitions are described in the documentation.
Step 3. Analysing a Specific Token
Click on any token name to analyse it. In the example, pumpkets. The screen switches to a live TradingView chart with detailed security audit and top holders list.
Here you see wallet filters for the coin – All, KOL 10, Tracking, Renames, DEV 9, Smart 27, BC Owners 22, Fresh 844, Snipers 43, Insiders 1, Phishing, Bot Degen 999+, Bundler 667.
Here we see: who holds, who runs the project, and the security status.
Who holds?
All– all current owners.KOL– known influencers.Tracking– your personal watchlist.Renames– wallets that changed their username.
Who runs things?
DEV– the creator of the coin.Smart– traders with maximum profit.BC Owners– large investors (SOL/ETH).Fresh– new wallets used for pumping.
Where is the danger?
Snipers– ultra‑early bot buyers.Insiders– those who bought before any promotion.Phishing– known fraudsters and scammers.Bot Degen– high‑risk trading scripts.Bundler– hidden purchase of supply by the creator.
In the right sidebar you will see the same information in a compact form. This helps us quickly assess the project:
Top 10 (16.56%)– the top‑10 wallets hold 16.56% of the coins (safe).DEV (0%)– the developer holds 0% (cannot dump).Holders (1,403)– total number of token holders.Snipers (0.14%)– bots control only 0.14% of the supply.Insiders (0%)– insider wallets hold 0%.Phishing (5.9%)– 5.9% of tokens are on suspicious/phishing addresses.Bundler (33.2%)– DANGER. Creators think they are clever and secretly bought 33.2% at launch, and could crash the price. Hover over Bundler:
Risk is medium‑high due to bundlers. Moving on.
Dex Paid ($398 CTO)– $398 paid for the DEX upgrade. The CTO tag means the project admin has transferred to the community.- Checkmarks
NoMint / No Blacklist– additional minting and blacklists are disabled (good). Burnt (100%)– 100% of liquidity is burned (cannot be withdrawn from the exchange).Rug % (11.6%)– the estimated probability of a hidden scam is 11.6%. You can click and look at past launches. Developers often repeat their actions, so you can extrapolate from their previous launches.
Step 4. Customise Your Chart
This is a full‑fledged trading terminal with TradingView charts, various order types, and settings. Before the first trade, you need to understand the internal logic of this control panel.
Instant Trade
The Instant Trade function activates one‑click trading without interface delays. Scalping is important in meme trading. Set fixed values for buy and sell buttons (e.g., 0.1 SOL, 0.5 SOL, or 100% of your position) according to your working deposit and strategy.
Limit Orders and Automation
There are market, limit, DCA, and advanced order types. The Buy Dip order automatically buys dips at a specified price or market cap (enabled in EXACT).
- The
Auto Sellfunction locks in profit or limits losses by set percentages. - The
Trailing Stop-Lossorder automatically raises the stop level as the price rises to protect accumulated profits.
Fine‑tuning Transaction Parameters
The Slippage parameter adjusts slippage in the 10–30% range to avoid rejections during volatility. The Priority Fee setting lowers the standard inflated fee to a fixed 0.001–0.005 SOL to save on deposits.
The Anti-MEV function protects trades from sandwich attacks by bots and instant losses.
Working with Multi‑charts
The multi‑chart displays more than 2 charts simultaneously on one screen for monitoring multiple assets without opening new tabs.
The algorithm automatically updates the order book, holder lists, and security audit when switching between charts.
Advanced Trading Modes
The trading preset buttons F1, F2, and F3 allow you to pre‑set fixed trade volumes for instant order placement without manual input.
The DCA mode automates position building by regularly buying coins in equal parts at set intervals to average the entry price.
Trading Practice
Before entering a trade, we filter out scam coins.
Step 1. Filter Coins for Trading
In the Trenches tab –> New, set a market cap of $8,000–$15,000 and at least 15 holders. This will cut out 95% of dead coins, but does not protect against scams.
However, this is not enough, so we prefer additional filters:

For the Migrated column, cap > $100,000, holders > 100, volume > $80,000, top‑10 <30%. Do not buy on Pump.fun above $45,000 cap – wait for migration to Raydium and a pullback.
Step 2. Buying and Selling Tokens
- For buying, we set
Slippage– 5% for established coins, 20% for new ones. - We set
Priority feeabove average when the network is congested, otherwise the transaction will hang for minutes. MEV protectionis mandatory when buying, otherwise sandwich bots will eat 20–50% of your position.
For selling, we do not rely on trailing stops during high volatility because due to delays they execute at the worst price.
Better to use fixed take‑profits. Sell 50% of position at +100%, the rest at +300%.
Step 3. Withdraw Funds
To withdraw funds from GMGN:
- Open the GMGN Telegram bot (the interface redirects you there when you click withdraw).
- In the bot, add a wallet – either paste your seed phrase or specify the wallet address you want to withdraw to.
- Select the network (e.g., Solana) and click Withdraw.
- Enter the amount (you can withdraw all) and confirm the transaction.
- Funds will be instantly sent to the external wallet you specified.
Remember that GMGN does not custody your funds; withdrawals go directly to your personal wallet via the bot.
For Advanced Users
To be proficient in meme trading, you need to understand the participants and wallet types. Let's break down this complex terminology that is aggregated in GMGN.
Participants and Wallet Types
Active players
- KOLs – crypto influencers. Their purchases often signal entry for the rest of the retail crowd.
- Degens – traders hunting for high‑risk new assets with low market cap. They use express audits like DGEN Audit.
- Devs – smart‑contract creators. The
Dev Sellstatus means the developer fully dumped their token holdings.
Analytical markers
- Smart Money – wallets with historically the highest profits. They are tracked to spot early trends and replicate trades.
- Snipers – bots or traders that buy the token in the first milliseconds of launch. They create the risk of a sharp price crash after the first pump.
Hidden threats and manipulations
- Bundlers – fraudsters who secretly distribute the supply across a network of linked wallets to mask concentration, later dumping.
- Insiders – wallets linked to the developer or those who bought on an inside signal. In GMGN they are highlighted in red.
- Fresh wallets – new wallets created just before buying the token. Their abundance indicates artificial volume inflation (wash trading).
Project and Market Status
The meme‑token space is characterised by loss of liquidity or scams in 90–95% of new projects within 2–5 hours after launch. Therefore, it is important to monitor the following metrics and scenarios.
Token mechanics and metrics
- Bonding Curve – an algorithm that increases price as purchases are made. When the required market cap is reached, liquidity automatically migrates to a DEX.
- Blue Chip – the most reliable assets in the network. The index in GMGN shows the proportion of meme coin holders who also hold major coins.
Development scenarios and risks
- Rug Pull – fraud where project creators suddenly withdraw liquidity from the pool or sell all tokens, sending the price to zero.
- CTO (community takeover) – the community takes over the project after the developer abandons it, promoting it further.
- Vamp – a token clone that fully copies the name or visuals of a successful original to intercept liquidity and attention.
Below we provide some tool combinations to find trades that 99% of traders miss.
Copy Trading and Wallet Tracking
How to find successful wallets for copying?
Go to the CopyTrade tab, or analyse the top traders for a token that showed significant growth in recent days.
Search scheme:
- Open any completed token with a large pump (e.g., from the
Migratedsection). - Go to the
Top Holderstab and sort by realised profit (PnL).
- Study the history of each candidate.
- Check average holding time (ideally > 10–15 min, preferably hours).
- Assess the Solana balance (the balance should confirm that the wallet is alive, not a one‑time address).
- Make sure the win rate is not below 40–50%.
- Avoid wallets with trade durations under 10 seconds – these are likely bots or farms that hunt copy‑traders.
- Go to the address of a wallet you like to see full statistics – daily PnL, open positions, realised and unrealised profit.
Wallet selection criteria:
|

Creating Your Own Meme Coins
There is also the ability to create your own tokens manually or via an AI directly in the interface. GMGN offers integration with Pump.fun and other launchpads for subsequent launch. This is done via the Cooking button.
You manually upload an image, come up with a ticker, and add social links. If you lack visuals, the built‑in AI will automatically generate an image and suggest a ticker based on your idea.
You only need to fill in the socials yourself. There is also an option to create a token in the likeness of any existing token. This functionality turns GMGN into a full‑fledged launchpad for new projects and meme coins.
Why Use GMGN if You Have DexScreener?
DexScreener shows what has ALREADY pumped. GMGN highlights tokens at launch and reveals who is buying – influential players or bots.
Also, unlike DexScreener and DexTools, GMGN includes built‑in copy trading, automated take‑profits, trailing stop‑losses, an anti‑MEV module, and real‑time trader P&L analysis.
From experience, we recommend not choosing one tool but using them TOGETHER. For example, find new coins on DexScreener, copy the address, and analyse wallets in GMGN.
Platforms like KOLfi, SolSniffer, Token Sniffer, and RugCheck remain important niche services.
- KOLfi focuses on analysing the community portfolio and shows the real earnings of an influencer's followers on their specific signal, not just the personal profit of the opinion leader. For trade execution and tracking influencer activity, GMGN fits, while we use KOLfi to assess the risk of becoming exit liquidity for followers.
- When in doubt, we additionally run the contract address through SolSniffer to confirm code cleanliness.
- RugCheck is the industry standard for checking liquidity pool security. Prop traders use it as a benchmark for granular reports on token distribution and locked liquidity via manual contract address input.
GMGN surpasses RugCheck in the speed of visualising connections via Bubble Maps, but RugCheck provides more up‑to‑date data on top holders during extreme volatility and terminal lag.
We will go even further and combine GMGN with 5 other platforms to launch a complete on‑chain analysis system. It will be able to instantly break down insider wallets via DeBank and Nansen, detect developer manipulations via TwitterScore and DropsTab, and cut market risks based on derivatives signals from CoinGlass. Take a look:
Filter out random sniper bots from systematic whales with DeFi capital.
Eliminate tokens with volumes inflated by developer bots.
Exit memes before a drop in the underlying asset crushes liquidity.
If your goal is to jump into a meme coin at a $10–50K market cap rather than $1M+, GMGN provides information that competitors lack. But these combinations give much more.
Drawbacks
The interface is incredibly cluttered with tags and notifications, which provokes FOMO and reckless trades. We recommend turning off up to 70% of visual markers to maintain focus.
It is important to know that top traders in the CopyTrade section often have inflated Win Rates, luring followers into their scam tokens to use them as exit liquidity.
Finally, the terminal does not deduct fees and Priority Fee from the displayed profit stats. You might see a +10% profit while your actual wallet balance decreased due to network costs. By the way, GMGN.AI's Trustpilot reputation is only 2.1/5.
Q&A
What minimum filter settings help quickly weed out potential scams?
Experienced traders set a minimum of 200 holders and an initial market cap of $29,000. For new coins on Pump.fun, set slippage to 5–10%.
Why does a low top‑10 holder share not guarantee that the coin is safe?
Scammers often split their holdings across many wallets to artificially lower this metric. So a low top‑10 percentage can be a false signal.
What numerical criteria are used to select tokens?
The top‑10 holder share should be below 25%, liquidity and volume in the range of $1M–$6M, token age not more than 21 minutes (if filtering by hourly trend).
What is the average lifespan of a meme coin?
From 2 to 5 hours from the start of active trading. After that it gets rugged and you incur losses.
How can you tell if a trader is human rather than a bot when choosing a wallet to copy?
A real player holds positions longer than 10 seconds and has a win rate around 40%, while bots execute trades faster than 10 seconds and often show win rates above 80%.
How to use Whale Watch signals without becoming a victim of manipulation?
Enter on the signal, but do not wait for the whale's target – sell before them, locking in short‑term profit, and use the whale and its followers as liquidity for your exit.
How to analyse the team's behaviour through the first buyers?
The first 70 buyers are usually dev wallets. Their actions (holding, selling, rebuying) can predict whether they will dump the token, affecting the price.
Why is it important to manually refresh bubble maps in GMGN?
Because the maps do not update automatically. If you do not refresh, you will be analysing outdated wallet cluster data, which can hide real connections and lead to erroneous conclusions.
What does a low SOL balance (0.01) of a top holder indicate?
It suggests that the holder is likely a single entity holding tokens only for selling (the balance barely covers the exit fee). Such a wallet is a potential source of a large dump.
How long should you watch a wallet before launching a bot?
You need to select 6–7 candidates, monitor them for 1–2 days, and only then choose the best (or several) for actual copy trading.
Why can GMGN data be misleading?
Built‑in metrics (e.g., top‑4 share) update slower than real on‑chain data. For verification, you should use TokenSpy, which shows more current figures.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, GMGN.AI is indeed interesting and has several convenient features that other terminals may lack. However, it should not be considered a panacea. Many users still prefer DexScreener or BullX, but it is certainly worth trying GMGN.AI, especially if you are attracted to copy trading and influencer analysis.
According to Pump.fun statistics, only 0.01% of created tokens reach listing on Raydium. Of the migrated tokens, 90% catch hype at a $40–50K market cap and then get rugged to zero. Therefore, it is crucial to set up all the filters we have described. And do not forget to export your private key.
