Thermal images
By installing a thermal camera on the back of the video card (where the backplate is), we see that the GPU temperature reaches 79 degrees - this is a terrible indicator!
Thermal images of the video card from the front side, where the cooler is, show the following indicator: 44 degrees.
Tests in MSI Afterburner show plus or minus the same results, the GPU temperature is at around 75 (76) degrees:
The thermal performance of the Radeon RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse is very bad! The video card is hot and you will have to think about additional cooling for the farm!
However, if you buy it into a computer, then here you will also have to think about cooling – more coolers for blowing / blowing, high-quality housing.

How much can you earn in mining
In mining, as we already know, the RX 6600 shows itself very well.
In order to calculate the income from 1 video card, go to the whattomine website and calculate the income using the most profitable algorithm – Ethereum.
Fill in the following fields:
- We enter the hashrate – in our case it is 28 Mh/s
- Enter the consumption of the video card – 55 Watts (average value)
- Indicate the price for electricity
- Enter the commission. If you don't know, then specify 1%
- Click on the "Calculate" button to calculate
We get the following data:
Video card revenue in: hour, day, week, month! This way you will be able to calculate how much this video card will pay off for you, and how much profit it will bring you!
Tests in games AMD Radeon RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse
Further in the video, you can familiarize yourself with the tests in games on the RX 6600 video card:

You can also get acquainted with the test in games, where Nvidia 3060 is compared with AMD 6600:
Equipment
The video card comes in the usual, dark packaging with the image of the Sapphire and AMD logo on the front side of the box. There is no image of the video card itself.
The reverse side of the package lists basic information about the video card.
The scope of delivery is very simple:
- Box
- Video card
- Manual
External cooling system
The Radeon RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse graphics card has 2 coolers that cover most of the graphics card.
Unfortunately, despite the large coolers, the card is very hot!
Radeon rx 6600 sapphire pulse has the following dimensions: 193 x 120.05 x 40.05 millimeters.
The video card itself occupies 2 slots. In general, this is a small video card.
On the side of the casing there are logos: Radeon and Sapphire.
As for the backplate, this model has it. The back panel is made of metal. In the middle there is a cutout for the GPU.
As for the power inputs, Sapphire chose 1x8 Pin power connectors.
Memory and power consumption
The video card is equipped with 8 GB GDDR6. Supplied by Samsung.
Card consumption is from 45 to 130 watts, depending on the miner, algorithm and overclocking. The card is equipped with 1x8 Pin power connectors.
A farm of 6 AMD Radeon RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse graphics cards and a connected power system (motherboard, SSD, processor) will require 1 700 Watt power supply!
Outputs
The input / output for the Radeon RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse graphics card is as follows:
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 3x DisplayPort 1.4
Please note that most of the I/O bracket is given to ventilation.
Internal structure (characteristics)
As for prices, AMD has set a recommended price of $330 for the European market. It turns out that the card is cheaper by $ 50 compared to the RX 6600 XT.
Let's first look at the key characteristics of the GPU. Using the same Navi 23,237 mm2 as its XT counterpart, the RX 6600 is stripped down in several key areas.
It contains 28 computing units (CU), which is four less than the 6600 XT, a total of 1792 stream processors, or 256 less than the XT model.
DNA 2 contains one ray accelerator for each CU, so there are 28 of them in total. Four texture blocks per CU give a total of 112, as well as 64 ROP. However, the clock speed was slightly reduced with a nominal frequency of 2491 MHz compared to 2589 MHz for the 6600 XT.
As for the memory configuration, it is generally the same as the RX 6600 XT, which means a 128-bit memory interface paired with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.
However, the memory itself is slower, at 14 Gbps instead of 16 Gbps, which reduces the total memory bandwidth by 12.5%. There is also 32 MB of AMD Infinity cache.
Finally, the total power (TDP) is 132 watts, which is 28 watts, or 17.5% less than the RX 6600 XT.
Conclusion
Radeon RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse is not a very good graphics card, with a good build, but a bad cooling system.
If you decide to buy this video card for mining, then you will 100% have to think about additional cooling (for example, a floor fan), since the temperature of 1 video card: 75-79 degrees in mining in an open stand. These are bad indicators.
The Bytwork team does not recommend this video card for purchase due to a poor cooling system!
