Halving Bitcoin 2028

The next halving will occur in 2028, and the reward will be reduced to 1.5625 for a miner who successfully processes a block of transaction data. The average block completion time is about 10 minutes.

It is expected that by about 2140, 64 bitcoin halving will occur before the 21 million BTC limit is reached, after which halving will stop and the blockchain will stop issuing new tokens.
