Bitmain Antminer S21 Hyd Overview. Hashrate and consumption

In September 2023, Bitmain announced a new Asic for the Sha-256 (Bitcoin) algorithm - Antminer S21 Hyd.
This Asic will have the highest power. Its Hashrate is 335 Th/s! And its efficiency is 16 J/TH.
In comparison, at the moment, of the Asics that have also been officially unveiled, the most powerful is the WhatsMiner M53S ++ from MicroBT. Its power is 320 TH/s and its efficiency is 22 J/TH.
The company also announced a weaker model: Antminer S21. Asic has a Hashrate of 200 Th/s! And the efficiency is 17.5 J/TH.
Unfortunately, there is currently no information about the consumption of this Asic (as soon as we have information, we will update this article (bookmark this site!).
Pre-order of this model is available now, but delivery will not begin until the first quarter of 2024!
Bitmain announced the most powerful Asic now for a reason! In 2024 (April 21), another Bitcoin halving (halving the reward for mining) is expected. This will make old Asics less efficient, so there will be quite a big demand for new equipment now!
Which Asic is better to buy: Bitmain S21 Hyd or WhatsMiner M53S++?
In fact, these Asics can be considered direct competitors. S21 Hyd is not much more powerful than M53S++, only 15 Th/s, which is not so significant, especially if S21 Hyd will be noticeably more expensive for you!
However, if you buy an Asic not on credit and not on your last money and you have a rather large budget, it is always better to buy a more powerful model!
In fact, mining is a power race! The more powerful your equipment is, the longer you stay competitive, and therefore the longer your equipment will bring you profit.
